06/27/2005 | VA3DF Got to my chosen site at Rattlesnake Point around 9:30 Saturday morning and with the help of various family members got everything set up in about 90 minutes.My future son-in-law did the honours with the slingshot this year but quickly found out that it's not quite as easy as it looks!

Ran 5 watts from a K2 feeding either a vertical dipole (shown in the attached picture) or a 150 foot doublet fed with ladder line - which is just visible in the photo.

Temps were in the low 30s C. and conditions were very comfortable during the night. Stayed with things non-stop until about 9:30 Sunday and then decided to tear down, hit the shower and have a nap before a nice post FD BBQ. It just doesn't get any better than this! -- VA3DF
