06/28/2005 | WD9EWK After several years of Saturday-only Field Day efforts, I camped out for Field Day for the first time in 15 years. I was in the forest south of Prescott AZ, camping with a few other people, and having a good time. Not as many QSOs for me as in 2004, very few on 20m but so-so propagation on 15m, 40m kept me busy, and a few XE stations into the log for my first Field Day "DX" contacts - doing all of this with only 5 watts from an IC-703 into a 40m dipole between a couple of trees.
