W4T (N4G - GOTA)
The Northeast Georgia Amateur Radio Club had a very enjoyable Field Day this year. We were positioned to have our festivities at the Victoria Bryant State Park, but due to a foul up with the reservation system, we had to move our operation elsewhere. We held our Field Day this year at club members Fred (KG4PPQ)and Jan (KG4PPP)Lubbess' farm in Banks County near Commerce, GA. The site had lots of nice tall trees with open spaces between to hoist up several dipoles. We were also fortunate to setup an antenna for making our earth/satellite/earth contact. This year we ran a 4A operation with GOTA station (N4G). Some welcomed some new participants and also had a few younger boys stop by to make thier first contact. The food was great, the fellowship as alwayas a treat, and the airwaves were alive.
