2005 ARRL September VHF Contest

09/24/2005 | K8ZIZ The September 2005 VHF Contest started off slow in Elyria Ohio (EN81wi) . Around 5:00 in the afternoon it was moving along pretty good , worked most of the regulars and alittle tropo to the east was found . This year I added 432 in the array and decided to run this time as multi-op and include my Brother Ron N8MPF and a friend Dave KC8SCG into the contest . Conditions were about average on all bands throughout the contest and I did work a very nice opening to Florida on Sunday evening then shifting to Texas later in the evening , almost doubled my score ... We had the standard gear I normally run in the shack along with some added digital gear on 6/2 . As it was the first time for me to run Multi Op Limited it was a good test to see what would fail in the course of the contest , though over all it went pretty smoothly ,there will be some minor changes for the next contest .Thanks to all of the stations that worked us on 432 this time around . Thanks to Ron N8MPF and Dave KC8SCG , hope to see everyone on 222 next time around . -- K8ZIZ
