12/12/2005 | W8DO Obviously propagation was not good for us in the Great Lakes area. There were many surprises, especially the wide open conditions around noon Sunday. Everything was booming in, including ZL to EA8 during a six hour hot spot. The TH-11 and Icom ProIII worked slick in the single-op c.w. competition. I worked 345 contacts in 89 sections durning a twelve hour period. Sunday evening, thirty minutes before the end of the contest, two new multipliers showed up ... VO1 and VE9! Great Fun! -- W8DO
