01/26/2006 | W4JJF This was my first solo contest. My current set up only allowed for operation on 6M & 2M., however I had a blast. I was able to work 100 Q's and 28 Grids. I know it's not a big score but I'm still quite proud. Also when the activity slowed down I was thrilled to realize I made some new friends and enjoyed some mini ragchews as well. But I would be remorse if I didn't thank my contest elmers and those who have befriended and inspired me. W4GRW the first operator to motivate me to contest to begin with. K4ATM I hate you couldn't make this one it just didn't seem right not hearing you calling CQ and last but not least KD4MCA a true gentleman of a HAM the one who keeps me excited about all aspects of HAM radio.
