07/02/2006 | AB0RX This was the first VHF contest for AB0RX.

The 6 Meter antenna is a homebrew 3 element yagi on a 30' pole tied to the corner of the back deck. I had hoped to also build 2 meter and 440 yagis for the contest but ran out of time, so I operated only on 6 meters.

Conditions were excellent the first few hours of the contest when I worked almost every grid in the northeast. In total, I worked 101 stations in 58 grid squares. Many of these were all time new grids. Hope to be back next time on more bands.
