Field Day 2006 - we Got-R-Done!

Another exciting Field Day in Marion County, West Virgina.

We operated 2A as usual. One Phone station and one CW station. Our
valiant crew arrived Friday evening and set up camp. We started operation on the dot at 1800Z Saturday.

We actually had visitors: Jack KE4ULK and Craig K8ORS and his sons, who saw our newspaper article.

We took a break about 2200Z for our annual Field Day pot-luck dinner.

The National Weather Service had been predicting thunderstorms all weekend. Luckily, we had pleasant weather on Saturday. Sunday was rainy all day, but no thunderstorms.

Some things worked better than last year, others not so much. But we all had a pretty good time.

We had an "official photographer" this year, and as soon as he gets me some picture files I'll post the best of them here.

Everyone pitched in and made the operation a success. Just hangin' with the group made the whole thing a great experience.
