Field Day is great fun. This year was no exception, especially with the new Icom 746Pro, purchased just three weeks earlier. I finally retired the Heathkit, and in so doing advanced nearly four decades in radio technology. Last year I had problems with the logging computer just before Field Day, and made every attempt to avoid similar problems this year. Well, the power supply died on Field Day morning. Fortunately, I quickly replaced it, and was on the air at the start of the contest. We made contacts on 80 though 15 meters, and had a fantastic time.
