06/30/2006 | WY3P Carroll County Contesters (WY3P) deployed their Field Day operations in Hampstead, MD just off Hanover Pike Rt-30. Covering HF, VHF and UHF, the AB-577's (Rocket-launchers) provided ideal mounts for the variety of antenna use at the site.

Weather was dreadful, rain started early Saturday and never ended. The team continued through the night with several heavy down-pours and occasional lightning, which closed operations for about an hour.

A lot of wet feet and QSOs everyone enjoyed the opportunity to setup and work in extreme conditions. -- KB3MXM
