07/02/2006 | K7SAM Much better weather this year. Last year we were run off by a thunderstorm only a few hours into Field Day. This year was beautiful. It was a bit windy Saturday but that help keep things cool and gave the mosquitoes a bad time. Just before sunset the wind went down and was as nice an evening as I have seen for Field Day. Midnight on top of hill in northeast Montana with all the stars out and contacts being made on the radio, what more could a person ask for? -- K7SAM
