07/09/2006 | K3QBD A grand turnout for the First State Amateur Radio Club's 2006 Field Day, despite threatening weather! We were honored to have our Delaware Section Manager AD3M, members of the Christiana Amateur Emergency Service and many of our colleagues and friends join us for the event at the grounds of AM station WDEL in North Wilmington, Delaware. The club sported an antenna farm that would be the envy of any permanent station, all under the cone of protection provided by WDEL's massive transmission towers. Excellent operator support provided solid coverage throughout our 24 hours of operation. We look forward to our next event! -- KB3KYZ
