07/25/2006 | K2TD I classify FD '06 a success - although a wet success. Weather on Saturday afternoon and Sunday was excellent. Saturday night we got three inches of rain. Inside the tent was like being in a drum. You couldn't hear the rig without ear phones. One tent collasped and another had to be bailed out. The VHF tent had so much water under the floor that it was like walking on a water bed. The 2 meter beam died and couldn't be fixed in the rain. But, a good time was had by all. -- K2QPN
