09/12/2006 | K8ZIZ The September Contest started off ok for the first hour , then continued to slow down as the nite went on . Just as you were ready to get up out of the seat , another station would respond . This time around N8KOL OP Mike K8ROX joined us for the fun . Mike stayed for just about all of the contest and we enjoyed the company . Also at the station was Ron N8MPF ( my Brother) and Dave KC8SCG . We ran close to 20 hours total . Didn't see any conditions so speak of from this QTH on any of the bands , was just about as slow as January contest . We added 222 this time around and seemed to get a good boost in the score from it , ended up working everyone on 222 that we worked on the other bands . Thanks to Ron N8MPF for his work on the 222 transverter , thanks to Dave KC8SCG for his effort in the contest , and also Mike K8ROX for driving up 2 hours to play with the ZIZ crew ... Hope to see u all in January !!!
