2006 ARRL September VHF Contest
with my brother and dad. We operated all the bands from 50 to 1296 Mhz
with good success except on 927.5 Mhz FM, where we didn't make any contacts.
We had a lot of fun working several of the locals on all our bands, quickly
moving from radio to radio to make the contacts. We met many nice hams that
were very helpful especially KC6ZWT and N6GKJ. Also the rovers really made the
contest exciting as we followed them from grid to grid and band to band.
Finally, using a computer and logging program made the biggest improvement
in the operation here, no more duplicated contacts (or paper mess). I'm looking
forward to the next VHF contest in January. See you then! -- KI6BEW
