I was braced for the worst since we are wallowing in the trough of the sunspot minimum now, but was happily surprised.
The bands were pretty good (20m was pretty dang crowded!), the operator skill and courtesy was good, but it seemed like 40/80 which had been good closed early.
Worked 79 sections by 0600Z without searching for a single one, no kidding.
The pileup on VY1JA Sunday evening at the low end of 20m was astounding. I came back later when the band had closed to the east coast and scooped him up for a clean sweep... at the sunspot minimum!
I really had to work to dig out the QRPer's this year but I'm proud to say I pulled all but 2 out of the noise floor.
1,056 QSOs, 80 sections. I'll take it.
