11/20/2006 | NT5HS Two operators here at NT5HS had a lot of fun this SS. As the end of the contest approached, we really wondered if anyone in IA, MS, and NE would get on 40m or 80m -- and finally, they did. Our first Sweep! Next year, we might even travel to an unusual section, either WTX, NE, or SD, and operate from there. SS is a great contest.

It was also encouraging to have a number of stations recognize our class=S (School) and hear the YL operating (Sarah, KE5CIJ, age 13), and take the time to compliment her on her operating and encourage her -- and some of those guys were serious contesters as well! -- N0RQ
