11/20/2006 | K2IZ In one way I kind of miss the old days, you knew where everyone was by the number in their call sign and it was either a W,K,WA or WB, that being said, God bless those that have come up with logging software. I can't imagine trying to fill out one of those old "dupe" sheets with the many different types of calls out there. I could not believe it when one station commented that he hadn't worked a single NLI in SSCW but he had worked quite a few in phone! There are a lot of ham's in the section but I guess the CW contest crowd has thinned out. Over 35 years as a ham and I still enjoyed working, for the 1st time ever, VY1JA in NWT, took me almost an hour with low power and the sun down below the western horizon but when he came back the whole house knew about it!
