11/20/2006 | KB0HH This was my first effort in an HF contest so help was found in the father/son contest team of Jim, WB0ZWW and Jeff, WD0GTY. They did a great job of operating and sharing their knowledge with the rest of the crew. KA0KUY helped with the operating and cooking chores.

This was the first real test of the HF antennas. Separate Yagis were used for 10, 15, and 20 meters. J-poles were used on 40 and 80 meters while a wave wire vertical from the metal shop roof was used on 160 meters. All antennas worked well and all the amps kept their smoke intact!

We had a clean sweep by early Sunday morning and the rest of the contest was at a more leisurely pace. So, when is the next contest??
