2006 ARRL November Sweepstakes (Phone)

11/27/2006 | W1MKY Finally!!!! A clean sweep for Mickey, W1MKY. After several years of falling 1 section short ( last year Alaska, the year before NT) we were able to manage a clean sweep. Sunday morning saw us turn in for the night with 76 sections in the log missing only Alberta, Brittish Columbia, Alaska and NT. Sweep seems certainly doable at this point but AK and NT can be problematic from our location just to the west of Concord, NH. After waking up on Sunday morning had quite a run going on 40M in which 75 stations were worked in 30 Min at one point. A switch to 20 m at about noon eastern found NT and AK make their way into the log. A bit of a surprise as those sections generally do not appear until about 4PM eastern in our part of the country. Alberta was eventually worked as was BC with it being our last section. We finished with about 950 Q's (minus dupes) and 80 sections for our SWEEP. Time to add another mug to the shelf ( I think this makes 9). Sweeps from the AF1T location is always a fun time.
