11/28/2006 | KI4MUG I got hooked on contesting last Field Day. Since then I got an MFJ-9420 and put a dipole in my attic. With only 10 watts on one band and no ability to change direction it was a challenge to make 100 QSO's, but I did it. Of course it didn't help that I waited until after the OSU Michigan game to get started. I also did it with a hand mike and paper logs.
