2006 ARRL 10 Meter Contest

Because of the low sunspots, this wasnt on my contest schedule this year. In addition, I knew I couldnt participate much either afternoon because of other committments.
That said, I was thoroughly surprised at Friday nights Es which brought 300 q's into my log the first 4 hours of the contest and made me want to put in a solid performance even though hours would be limited.
Fortunately, I was able to compete during all the right time periods, in daylight, and even had an hour of 151 q's Saturday noon, big numbers for a old guy with a small system (Orion II, 100w, 3 el SteppIR at 78 ft).
Looks like my score may be quite a good one for SOLP CW category. I think this just may be on my contest schedule for good!
