AA1YN
As I put out an extensive write-up on the Moonnet reflector, I will not elaborate on it here. I built a 10X14 EME shack this summer and just finished it along with setting up the equipment prior to the start of the contest. Suffice to say NS1O and myself had a good time and despite the little enoying problems with getting everything up and running, we had no equipment failures during the contest. The same can not be said prior to and in between the event weekends. We were operating (AA1YN full time and NS1O part time) as much as possible duing the 4 passes. I did fall asleep at the console during the third pass. Operation was JT65B on 2 meters only. We did try CW for at least 5 or so hours with no contacts. Last year we managed 11 unassisted contacts which seemed great at the time. This year we somehow dug out unassisted 66 cotacts. We are looking forward to many more.
