2006 ARRL International EME Competition

12/10/2006 | DL7APV I participated as usual 432 multi op, but this year I will send a checklog only. Several others violated the rules and made self spotting on the clusters. So I decided not to join the contest as a participant, but to send a checklog. I will not go into a competition with guys (also winner of last year) who do not follow the rules. And as we saw the last years, the ARRL doesnt care about, nobody was penalized even winner when they made public their unfairness. If the ARRL will penalize guys who not following the rules, or the rules will change I will join the contest again, maybe.

In my opinion there is a need of a new class, the "open class" with NO RULES. There everyone can use everything including self spotting, making qso on the internet....and so on.

Condx were as good or bad as the years before. I found activity was less than last year especially in the second part. My QSO number was better as last year and I had not so many runaways. Score could be 61x35.
