01/02/2007 | K4HGX SKN arrived, and I was all set to operate when I discovered my trusty Eico 720 was only sending 15 watts to my 40 meter loop. Instead of tearing the rig apart, I decided to let the loop do most of the work. Conditions on 40 were excellent; the qso's were easy
and enjoyable - even with 15 watts. My receiver was the NC-155, and
my J-38 was from the estate of my good friend Bernie, K4XY, who
we lost in 2006. Using the key was a tribute to him. I'm already looking forward to SKN 2007!! 73, and HNY to all, Roy -- K4HGX
