K1Y/2
Great SKN, as always. I've been licensed since 1959 and have participated in as many SKNs as I could during the ensuing years. (Careers in the U. S. navy submarine service followed by missionary service in DU, XU, and TL8 pre-empted QRV a few of those years.) This year I worked 25 stations on 80 and 40 meters. It seems to me that there was more activity this year than in previous years - in part, perhaps, due to the phenomenal growth of SKCC (over 2500 members in one year) which promotes and encourages good old fashioned cw with hand keys and bugs. I especially enjoyed working SKN this year using the SKCC special events callsign K1Y/2. We old dinosaur cw opertors may be a dying breed but we are going down in style! Join us in SKCC for SKN 365 days per year - info on the SKCC website. Thanks ARRL for sponsoring this fun event. // Dave W1DV -- W1DV
