01/02/2007 | W5TB After many years of procrastination I finally did get on for SKN and managed 4 very pleasant QSOs with the Nye Master key as my XYL watched the Rose Bowl Parade. Took me back to 1959 when as KN7JOX I used a WWII surplus J38 mounted on a pine board to key my trusty Heath DX-40 -- great fun! I guess using the coax fed beam and keeping the power down below 50W out must have worked as I heard no squeals from my parade viewing spouse.
