01/02/2007 | KA4JQZ As always SKN was a lot of fun. I used my old TS-830S for most of my contacts but was able to use my Novice Station (Heathkit HW-16) for one contact. I used a few straight keys. A J-38, LTA SKCC (#19), Mac Key and my favorite, a Signal Electric Spark Gap key. My biggest thrill was having my 80 meter CQ, from the HW-16, answered by N6WK. Everyone had a great fist (better than me) and all the QSOs were fun. I regret that I could not pull WB8LZG out of the QRM after the first exchange of our QSO. We will chat next year Gregg.
