01/02/2007 | KI0KM I have participated in SKN several times in the past making a few contacts each time. This year I made 16 contacts in 12 states on 80, 40 and 20 meters. Most were of the rag chew variety and very interesting.
The bands were so crowded I had to abandon my plan to use vintage equipment in favor of my Icom 765 with narrower filters.
Particularly interesting QSO's were with KA4JQZ, WB0B, AB0BU, KC9FAV, and W5IA. Many fine fists were heard as well as FISTS and SKCC members.
All in all, a most enjoyable experience.
