Once again SKN was a fun event. I know that my Great Uncle, Sammie Miller (W3CP-sk) was smiling from heaven since I was using his key once again for the SKN. I inherited his "Key and Plug Assembly No 9" J37 key. This key was part of a radio set that he got from a World War 2 Russian tank. I guestimate its age at about 65 years old. Unfortunately, we do not know how he acquired this unique radio and its accessories. After he passed away the tank radios were sold, but I was able to get the J37. The cover was missing as were the leg straps. Historical information regarding this key can be found on the Internet by searching "Key and Plug Assembly No 9". According to family recollection, my Uncle was a television design engineer for the Philco company and was licensed as an amateur radio operator prior World War 2 as W3CP . 73 and cuagn at SKN 2008.
