01/03/2007 | KC2LMX Straight Key Night once again was an exciting adventure for me. The sound of different fists on the straight key makes for true CW music. This is my second year for straight key night, and it was just as enjoyable as last year.
I only had four hours to dedicate to straight key night, but the 4 contacts I made was true music. It is very interesting to listen on SKN night, and find the CW words per minute of 20 wpm or less compared to other days when the WPM can be found at 20 to 35 wpm. I find the straight key very enjoyable, as I only can send 18 wpm on it. Getting old I guess?
Thank you for having the STRAIGHT KEY NIGHT, as it brings me back to my youth when I first learned CW.
