01/03/2007 | K1Y/4 My personal call is K4OSO, but I operated for four hours (1700z - 2100z) using the SKCC (Straight Key Century Club) Special Event callsign, K1Y/4. During the entire month of January, SKCC with its more than 2,500 members will be celebrating the Club's 1-year anniversary using callsign K1Y. This was my first SKN and it was great fun -- sort of like a family reunion, with some folks you know, and some you don't. The nicest fist I heard was in my final SKN QSO with Lloyd, AB8KS, who made fine music with his J38. My key was an old Navy Flameproof. -- K4OSO
