01/03/2007 | N2DM My first SKN event that I operated. Had 3 wonderful QSO's with K1CG, KG4W, & K9VIS. K9VIS, John was the most memorable, with his HW-16. Great solid signal from the HW-16. I am partial to Heathkit. All 3 stations had great fist's. I used my vintage HW-101 that I built in 1976 along with my NyeViking straight key vintage 1972. Purchased this key when I had my novice ticket in 72. Also in picture is my homebrew straight key I built in 1978, but didn't use in this event. Was tough choosing which key to use<:)
