01/03/2007 | K1Y/9 I was having a bit of a frustrating night when the contest began, the condx in Indiana were a bit rough and I managed one contact that evening. It was with Ernie, KH4IFX in Florida, and the next day I got K1BO in Hickory NC. We had a lot of running around to do so that was about the extent of my SKN this year. The K1Y/9 call is a special event call being used to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the Straight Key Century Club (SKCC).
