01/04/2007 | W8LQ Family activities and celebration time permitted only 2 SKN QSOs (N8AG and AG9G) but it was nice to push the Vibroplex lightning bug out of the way and exercise the J-38. The 80 meter band occupancy seemed to fall off rapidly after midnight CST, but prior to that it was quite lively. 40 seemed to be rather sparse.

Glad to hear so many guys, both QRS and QRQ. More laid-back contests like this one, maybe every quarter on the first night of the month would encourage the brasspounding fraternity to become more active.

I am a long time member of FISTS (#1477) and encourage our fellow hams to join FISTS, NAQCC or SKCC to further the use of the music mode.
