2007 ARRL Straight Key Night

I worked the followinf stations during this years SKN, WA6BXV, WA7DUY, K5FA, KW7D, K4HAL,K6PBQ, AD6YU, and JA1KIH.
All were "BEST FIST" for stepping up to the SKN plate. They were all doing their best and that is what really counts!

This year I ran my DRAKE 2-C RX, DRAKE 2-NT TX , HB DDS VFO. Full QSK (DRAKE knew what a CW OP liked),Navy flameproof key.
I had my 12 year old son stick his nose over that warm tube gear and smell hot dust. He liked it! I had forgotten how old timey radio rooms smelled.
Hopefully I will make next years SKN running a new H.B. MOPA from the 1961 ARRL handbook. I am wiring it now.

IN DAYS OF OLD, WHEN OPS WERE BOLD, AND SIDEBANDS NOT INVENTED.
WORDS WERE PASSED, BY POUNDING BRASS, AND ALL WERE WELL CONTENTED.
