01/05/2007 | K9ZTV Fired up my Drake T4X-B and R4-B twins at 140 watts to a Carolina Windom at 40 feet keyed by a Morse Express limited edition 2006 Christmas Key. First time on a straight key since my Novice days in 1960. Worked 15 stations in 10 states on 80 & 40, including K1Y/4, the SKCC special event station. Also did my stint with the NTS on two section nets (NCS) and two region nets. A completely fun evening. -- K9ZTV
