01/07/2007 | W1OH Enjoyed a couple of all too short rounds during SKN 2007 and made 3 contacts. Wow, there sure were lots of CW signals on 40 meters, though - sounded like what I remember on a typical afternoon or early evening back in the 60's when I was first licensed. One of my original J-38 keys was pressed into service for the first time in a while!

CW is by far my favorite mode! NAQCC sponsors lots of awards and monthly activities as well as QRP CW sprints - check out the NAQCC website. Groups like SKCC and FISTS are working hard to preserve the CW flame, and lots of QRP groups promote CW hand-in-hand with QRP! Let's hear more CW activity like SKN every day! Keep CW alive! -- W1OH
