2007 ARRL Straight Key Night

Had a great time! The bands were busy but not quite like Field Day !
This was my first SKN even though I've been licensed since 1964. I was limited on time so only made 3 contacts but all 3 ops/stations were interesting: #1 was a retired professor of electronic technology at Oklahoma State college N5DY, we talked for approx 1/2 hour, #2 was K9VKY running a "spy radio", 12 Watts from the xmtr/rcvr in a Sampsonite suitcase with no manufacturer name or info ! Wow that's a first, I'll bet. #3 was W9VC 150 air miles away, I sent him 539 RST but after considering he was running 200 milliwatts, that's pretty good! I copied W4TG for awhile, he's got a great fist, I hope I'm as good as him......he sent his age as 91 !
