2007 ARRL Straight Key Night

Total Contacts: 5.

Soapbox: This was my first time for the annual straight night key and was loads of fun. I had not operated much since my novice year back in 1963. I started out trying to use a classic Allied Radio Knight Kit T-150 Transmitter and R-100 Receiver but had to move to my more modern Icom 756 Pro2 after frequency jumping on the T-150 transmitter. I was using my straight key and straining to copy the code. The most interesting contact was my first with K0ZK, Arn, in Lebanon, ME. He was using a German Military Key that had been used in a Junkers WWII aircraft. He also gets my vote for "best fist".
This was my first SKN, but look for me next year.
