2007 ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes

I can't count the January SS we have worked since being first licensed in 1957.
The thrill never stops when a fellow hams say, "Thanks for the new grid". The last several years we have been only operating the lower four bands. Thanks to Andy "FGK" and Steve Kostro from Down East Microwave we will be making the big comeback this year with equipment up to 10 gig. The power will be as follows.
On 903 will have four phased amps at 400 watts and four long loops. 1296 has 300 watts and another four loops. 2304 is running a solid 175 watts to 4 72 element loopers. On 3456 the system is key down at 90 watts into 4 112 el loopers. The 5700 and 10 gig systems will both have 25 watts mounted on the back of a dish.
The system could never have been completed without Andy "FGK" and Steve's "CEI" knowledge. Oh yes " Andy's pocketbook "
The tower that was blown over several years ago will be reinstalled this spring.
As I work stations during contests it brings back many memories. So many stations have been repeatedly worked for so many years. Unknown faces but familiar voices. I thank you all for many years of quality contacts.
The antenna's will be worked on all summer with the knowledge of friends waiting for FN21 to enter their logs.
