01/26/2007 | N6NA The River City Amateur Radio Communications Society operated the January 2007 VHF Sweepstakes from a local park in CM98. While the contacts were few, we had an excellent time of fellowship and "playing radio". N6NA operated 2m sideband and simplex along with a valliant attempt on 70cm sideband and simplex. Participating club members were Chuck Freas (W6FT), Glenn Gleason (KG6LRX), Gary Hayes (KG6SMX), and Andy Stephens (W6AWS). We are looking forward to participating in other contests this year as a club. -- W6AWS
