01/27/2007 | K1IIG After 50years of ham radio I finally decided to enter a log. This was a treat even though the bands were not great. Managed to work 238 contacts with 51 grids. My goal at my medium height of 400amsl is to get to the middle of the pack. Running a FT-847 on 2m and 432, Icom Pro3 on 6m and xverted to 1296. Backup on fixed spotter antennas is a TS-2000x. Antennas are 5el 6m beam, 15 ele 2m, 22 ele 432 and 45 ele looper aprox 450' amsl. All, except 2m, need attention and that will be next year. Running 100w on 6m, 1500 on 2m, 1500 on 432 and 50w on 1296. Tnx to Downeast for getting the repaired 1296 xverter in time and also to Steve, K1FO of Lunar Link for finishing up the amps. Next year is antenna time.
