This was my first semi-serious attempt from home (FN20) at a VHF contest. Up to this point I have generally contested from my cabin in Maine (FN54) on a few bands with marginal results. Finally assembled all the parts necessary to get on through 1296 and was able to get my antennas in the air during some of the warm December weather we had. Thanks to George (W1JHR) and Mike (WA2VUN) for your guidance with transverters, feedlines and antennas. Had a great time with just over 11K points. Although I made several 1296 contacts, 903 eluded me for the whole contest. Tried several times, but neither heard or was heard. Just another one of those tweaks I need to work on before the next contest! Hope to have 10ghz. up and running by then as well. Dan -- WA2BTR
