2007 ARRL International DX Contest (CW)

02/19/2007 | W7LR Bob, W7LR consented to letting us turn his station into a M/S effort to see if we could get the sevenland M/S certificate. So Todd, WA7U, Fred, KE7X, and Gene, KB7Q descended on Bob's ham shack Friday morning with computers, interfaces, wires, coax, patch panels, and smiles. After a bit of trial and error we got everything to play just before contest kickoff.

We kept the station manned the whole weekend and got a big kick out of seeing Fred run 20 meters showing us how it is done. Bob, with 70 years of ham radio experience, ran the rate meter to 175 on 15 meters as he got more comfortable with the N1MM logging program. We even had a mini ten meter opening.

We had a great weekend, put Bob's shack back close to normal and still had big smiles when we left. -- KB7Q
