03/23/2007 | K6RJ This was my first real attempt at a CW contest and I must say I learned a lot and had a blast! I would have started working CW contests a long time ago if I had known how much fun they were. I need to seriously work on my copying speed though as my 15-18 words per minute was a hanidcap.

I was only able to operate 10 or so hours due to family obiligations but still logged a couple hundred QSOs. I was able to add a lot of new entities on CW. Not too bad for a vertical antenna and 80 or so watts. I'm looking forward to more CW contests in the future. I'm hooked! -- K6RJ
