03/05/2007 | WD4KTF My plan of action was to concentrate on South America, North America, and maybe catch an Alaskan or Hawaiian station during the contest. But, to my surprise 20 Meters opened up to Europe. With patience's I was able to work many stations with a vertical antenna, a DX Engineering radial plate, 20 ground radials, and a 100 watt transceiver. During the final hours of the contest my Desk Mic. stop working and I had used a backup Mic. to finish the contest. My final calcuated score surpassed last years total score by 33 percent. That made me happy to have worked the contest during this low sunspot year. I am looking forward to next year. -- WD4KTF
