06/11/2007 | WA1LAD This was my first VHF contest. I only operated 6 meters and had alot of fun. I was running an MFJ-9406 SSB radio sending a whole 10-watts to a dipole at 25 feet facing the south-west from the highlands of central Rhode Island. There were some good openings but the only signal I heard throughout the entire contest was W2SZ (great job guys). A big thanks to all who made the effort to work me. Hope to see you all again for the August 'test.
