06/25/2007 | W3WPA Western Pennsylvania's North Hills Amateur Radio Contest Society operated club station W3WPA from Blueberry Hill Park north of Pittsburgh (where I-79 & I-279 meet). This was the site of the annual Festival in the Park for Franklin Park Borough, with some 3000 people in attendance. Our setting near the borough's 200 year old Log House could not have been better. We had 3 stations (2 + GOTA) in the club tent. Primary operators were Pete W3WC, Brad N1BZ, & Aaron KB3LSM.

While the festival went on, kids and adults visited our site, received literature and operated the GOTA station. We continued on Sunday morning after the festivities ended. The weather was perfect all weekend! -- W3WC
