06/25/2007 | K8ES Delaware, Ohio - The Delaware Amateur Radio Association held our 2007 ARRL Field Day at our usual place, the Scioto Park and Nature center located n Delaware, Ohio.

We operated 4A with (2)CW and (2) phone and the GOTA station. We had pretty good weather during the daytime, but we endured a 6 hour rain at night.

We had many new or newer hams participate this year, and we also had hams that haven't picked up a mike or key in several years that stopped by to participate. I am very happy that they got that opportunity.

Being the Field Day Coordinator for a club such as DELARA is an easy task, and I enjoy every minute of it (well, almost every minute!)
We have a very good group of people.

We know we are prepared to set up and act quickly in the event of an emergency, and that is what FD is really all about.

We are looking forward to next year. -- N8YS
